An OCT scan - Optical Coherence Tomography - is one of the most advanced diagnostic tools available in optometry today.

In a matter of seconds, it produces a detailed, cross-sectional image of the layers beneath your retina, giving us a level of insight that a standard eye examination simply cannot provide.

Think of it like an MRI for your eyes. We can detect early signs of conditions such as glaucoma, macular degeneration and diabetic eye disease - often before you notice any changes to your vision. Early detection makes a significant difference to outcomes, and that is exactly what the OCT gives us.

The scan is completely non-invasive, takes only a few minutes and requires no drops or discomfort. You simply look into the machine and it does the rest.

The OCT scan is available at an additional cost and can be added to any eye examination appointment.
